Vincent Kompany has crowned Paris Saint-Germain Europe's finest team over the past two years. He made the remarks following Bayern Munich's Champions League semi-final exit on Wednesday.
PSG eliminated the German giants in a dramatic encounter. Kompany spoke to journalists immediately after the final whistle.
According to the Bayern boss, both squads demonstrated exceptional quality throughout. "PSG probably rank as Europe's best over the last two years," he noted.
Kompany revealed his side has faced PSG five times recently. Bayern won twice, lost twice, and drew once against them.
"We tried everything possible," the Belgian manager said. He added: "Congratulations to PSG.
We'll be back soon enough."
