US Vice President JD Vance says Washington and Tehran are "very close" to reaching an agreement. Major sticking points remain unresolved, he told the BBC.

Vance noted it's still premature to confirm whether a final deal will be signed. Reports claim both sides agreed on a framework to extend the ceasefire and restart nuclear negotiations.

A Kenyan court suspended plans for a US-run Ebola quarantine facility. Public concern over infection risks prompted the decision.

The proposed 50-bed centre would treat American citizens exposed to Ebola. The outbreak in DR Congo and Uganda triggered its creation.

Rights groups argued the plan posed "grave and imminent risks" to Kenya's public health system. High Court hearings will determine the facility's fate.

Sixteen students died in a boarding school fire in Kenya. The blaze at Utumishi Girls Academy in Gilgil sparked fresh safety concerns.
