Leaders of the Ughelli North All Progressives Congress (APC) Leadership Council have paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Olorogun Oscar Ibru, describing his death as a monumental loss to the party and Delta State.

The delegation, led by the Council’s First Vice Chairman, Chief Fred Majemite, conveyed the sympathies of the council to the Ibru family during the visit. Majemite described the late businessman and politician as “a strong pillar of the APC in Ughelli North”, recalling that “shortly before his passing, he hosted a well-attended unity meeting of the party in the area.”

Responding on behalf of the family, Mr. Peter Ibru expressed appreciation for the visit, noting that the late Olorogun Ibru’s death was “not only a loss to the family but also to the APC and Delta State as a whole.” He assured that the party would be “fully carried along in the burial arrangements.”

Other members of the delegation included Chief Terry Noah, Second Vice Chairman; Prof. S. W. C. I. Ibodje; Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas; and Hon. Kelly Oghenekevwe.

It will be recalled that the Ughelli North APC Leadership Council, chaired by Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, was recently inaugurated to mobilize grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
