By Esada Uyono,

Former Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, today congratulated the Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Dr (Barrister) Fred Oghenesivbe at his Asaba residence.

This came during private meeting between the duo which lasted for nearly 30 minutes, were they reflected on past, present and future political developments  and permutations in the state,  especially media politics and the 2019 general elections.

Oghenesivbe after the close door meeting said he had fruitful discussions with the immediate past governor which includes mending broken fences and opening a new page of political relationships with the former number one citizen of Delta State and his teeming supporters.

According to him,”We dealt with grey areas of the past and talked about present political developments. I sort and got his blessing, going forward.

“It’s a meeting that took me nearly 12 months to fix. Partisan politics is like a two-edged sword which is why it’s necessary to play the game in an atmosphere of peace, harmony and collective synergy.

“His kind words and advice will guide me in the present dispensation and unto the future. He is such a pleasant personality and the flow between us was perfect and heartwarming.

“Dr Uduaghan told me that the good people of Delta South Senatorial District have been pressurizing him to run for Senate in 2019; and that it will be unfair if he rejects the proposal.

“He went down memory lane to reflect on the Ibori political Dynasty (IDP) as one indivisible political family and in the process confirmed that he has no plans of defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“The Ibori political family featured prominently in our discussion and he said that Chief James Ibori enjoys the loyalty and total support of the entire structure built nearly two decades ago. And as one of the key members of the family, it is part of his responsibility to promote the growth and expansion of the political empire,” Oghenesivbe said.

Dr Uduaghan congratulated Barrister Oghenesivbe, on the occasion of his first year of meritorious service to Delta State, describing him as one of the best media politicians in the country, especially in the area of damage control and strategic political communication.
