The event, scheduled to take place at the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou, Benin from February 22 to February 24, 2024, aims to bring together key players and stakeholders in the mining and petroleum sectors of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The forum, which is set to see a large gathering of industry leaders, experts, and policymakers, will provide a platform for discussing the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the mining and petroleum sectors.

This collaboration between UBA and the ECOWAS is expected to create a positive impact on the economic development of the region, as it will facilitate investment opportunities and encourage collaboration among the participating countries.

UBA Group Chairman, Tony Elumelu, is set to give the keynote address during the opening ceremony of the event.

This highlights UBA’s commitment to supporting the growth of the mining and petroleum industry in the sub-region and the whole of Africa.

The bank’s active involvement in major continental development projects further underscores its dedication to the continent’s economic progress.

The sponsorship of the ECOWAS Mining Forum by UBA is a significant step towards promoting economic growth and development in the West African region.
