Transfer Deadline Day: Fulham set to sign Iwobi for £22m

Everton winger Alex Iwobi is on the verge of completing a £22 million transfer to Fulham, according to reports. The Nigeria international has reportedly undergone a medical at Craven Cottage and is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Championship club.

Iwobi joined Everton from Arsenal in 2019 for an initial fee of £28 million but has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under Carlo Ancelotti and Rafa Benitez. He scored six goals and provided nine assists in 123 appearances for the Toffees in all competitions.

Fulham manager Marco Silva, who worked with Iwobi at Everton, is keen to reunite with the 27-year-old and bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season. The Cottagers are aiming to bounce back to the Premier League after suffering relegation last term.
