Tragic Multiple Vehicle Crash Leaves 4 Dead, 9 Injured in Plateau Community

Tragedy struck Zakalio community in Jos North local government area of Plateau State on Tuesday, as a devastating multiple vehicle accident claimed the lives of four people and left nine others injured.

The accident involved two trailers and three cars along the Jos-Bauchi Road.

According to an eyewitness, a trailer loaded with flour and salt, heading to Bauchi State, lost control at a sharp bend and collided with another trailer and three cars.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the casualty figures and reported that the injured individuals, including men and women, were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Nurudeen Hussain Magaji, secretary of the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS), also confirmed the incident and stated that some of the victims were critically injured and had been rushed to Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) and Plateau Specialist Hospital for urgent medical attention.

The accident has caused a major disruption in the area, with emergency services working tirelessly to clear the scene and provide support to the victims and their families.

The tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for continued efforts to improve safety measures and prevent such accidents from occurring in the future.
