Tension gathers momentum as armed Isaba youths abducts one in Aladja

Fear and tension has gripped residents of Aladja community in Udu  local Government Area of Delta State as suspected armed Isaba youths, a nieghbouring Ijaw community allegedly abducted one Mr. Aron Shakara of Aladja Community.
The 1st Vice President of Aladja Community Council,Pastor Kingsley Vwavwahor disclosed this to newsmen and confirmed the report.
He cautioned that this abduction will definitely breach the peace process being put in place by the Delta State Government.
The cleric noted that the matter has been reported to the relevant security agencies but expressed fears as nothing has been done to effect the release of the abducted man.
He called on the Delta State Governor,Sen.(Dr.)Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and the relevant security agencies to ensure the immediate release and for Aron Shaka to  return unhurt.
“We have been able to calm our youths since the news of the abduction broke out. We may not be able to calm them further if the said Aron Shaka is not released. Hence this call on the governor and security agencies to see that he is released unhurt.”
An Aladja Community leader,Comrade Ighotegwolor Bezi also called on the governor and the security agencies including the Police, Ariforce, Navy, NSCDC and others to help facilitate immediate release of the man.
Bezi claimed that on Tuesday at about 7pm,Armed Isaba youths came to attack Aladja but were repelled by men of the Joint Task Force at the College road in Aladja Community on Tuesday March 27.
According to him,”On Wednesday March 28 at about 8pm,Ogbe-Ijoh youths also came to the Aladja Water fronts shooting sporadically in a bid to truncate the peace pact put in place by the Delta State Government led by Sen.(Dr.)Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa.”
He stressed that these are happening even when  Aladja Community youths have said they will key into the peace process being embarked upon by the governor.
Contacted, the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer,DSP Andrew Aniamaka said,”I am not aware of the development; but let me find out and get back to you.”
