Femi Azeez marked his debut with a brace as Nigeria's Super Eagles brushed aside Zimbabwe 2-0 in Tuesday's Unity Cup semi-final.
The winger struck in the sixth minute with a stunning effort from distance. Terem Moffi had set him up perfectly for that opener.
Nigeria controlled the opening half with ease. Chances fell to Philip Otele, Alhassan Yusuf and Moffi, but they couldn't convert.
Zimbabwe came alive after the interval and pressed hard. Nigeria's backline held firm under the sustained assault.
Azeez doubled his tally in the 62nd minute, finishing from close range. Otele supplied him with an inch-perfect pass for that second goal.
Arthur Okonkwo produced a crucial save with 20 minutes remaining. It proved vital in keeping Zimbabwe at bay.
The Super Eagles will await their final opponent at The Valley on Saturday. Either India or Jamaica will be their next challenge.
