Strange happenings in the world today is a clear indication that the rapture is near -Apostle Igiehon

A Frontline clergyman and the Senior Pastor of Banner of Solution Christian Assembly International Incorporated, Benin, Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Igiehon posited that happenings around the world today is a clear indication that the rapture is near.

Christians often say that the second coming of Jesus Christ will happen just like a thief in the night. According to the Holy Bible Jesus Christ will return to rapture people that are righteous both living and dead from the earth and that the same way he ascended so will he descend.

The Bible also recorded that though no one knows the exact time the rapture will take place but however listed some events that will signal the end time is near. Such events are war, conflicts, increasing level of evil and wickedness in the world, rising environmental hazards, high cost of living and excessive starvation ( 2bTimothy 3:1-5 )

Some Christians argued that what we see and hear in the world today are clear signs that the end time is already upon the people of the earth hence all should prepare by living a righteous life so they can be rupturable.

Meanwhile according to Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Igiehon, “Christ said that in the manner in which he left he will also come like a thief in the night. The Bible also mentioned some observable things that will signal his coming as can be seen in the book of second Timothy 3:1-5. The Bible says that the gospel will be preached everywhere and that everyone will have the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ

“He said there will be rumours of war, conflict, rising evil, wickedness, hunger and starvation. what we see today is nations fighting nations, mother against children, father against mother, brothers against brothers etc. Iniquity abound everyday; ritual killings, communal clashes, earthquake, excessive flooding, increase in cost of living, corruption, nepotism, men becomes lovers of themselves and no longer fear God.

“These are some of the signs and evidence and an indication that his coming is near. No one can be able to pin point the time. He only said when all these is happening it’s the time so be prepared.

He said ” behold I am coming soon and my reward is with me and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. The beginning and the end”.

While lamenting that the faith of believers are waxing cold and are having itchy ears, Apostle Dr. Igiehon urged people to embrace Jesus Christ the son of God as no one goeth to the father except through him.

” He is the way the truth and the life. Jesus is the centre point through which we believers reach the father; without you not knowing him whether you are generous, loving, kind etc., it will not automatically land you in the kingdom of heaven. We should all be ready and prepared at all times for he will come just like a thief in the night ( Mathew 24:44)”.

While referring to the story of the Ten Virgins in the Holy Bible, the Clergyman urged Christians to be prepare to be raptured at all times by staying holy adding that the lamps of the five foolish virgins burned out because they did not prepare well.

“Those that are proclaiming Christ might not be raptured on that day. The parable of the virgins in the book of Mathew 25 whose lights burned out and went to town looking for oil to put in their lamps tells us that so many people will not be raptured that day. That’s why we should all be prepared and not look like the foolish virgins”.
