Gov. Sule Laments Resistance to Change as Hindrance to Nasarawa State’s Progress

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, recently voiced his frustrations with the resistance to change within his administration, which he believes is hindering the state’s progress.
During a meeting with representatives from the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) at the Government House in Lafia, Governor Sule shared his experiences and the challenges he faces in implementing his vision for the state.
Drawing from social psychologist Douglas McGregor’s theories, Governor Sule pointed out the reluctance of many individuals to embrace change, which he believes is a significant obstacle to his leadership journey.
Reflecting on his time working with international and national corporations, the governor explained that his experiences motivated him to bring positive change to the state through public office.
“Having worked with global corporations, I felt compelled to bring back what I’ve learned to benefit our society,” Governor Sule said.
He emphasized his focus on incorporating due process and transparency into governance, but lamented the pushback from some within his administration who resist change and cling to old methods.
Governor Sule also highlighted the limited financial resources of Nasarawa State as another challenge, as the state often ranks low in federal allocation standings.
He explained that while innovative ideas are present, the limited resources hinder their full implementation.
As Nasarawa State continues to navigate the challenges of resistance to change and limited resources, Governor Sule remains committed to bringing positive change and progress to the state.
His administration is striving to overcome these obstacles and create a better future for the people of Nasarawa.
