Speed Darlington has launched a blistering attack on President Bola Tinubu's plans to seek re-election. The outspoken musician posted a video on Instagram Wednesday criticizing the president's ambitions.
Darlington questioned what Tinubu has accomplished since taking office in 2023. He blamed policy failures, structural weaknesses, economic errors, and the worsening security crisis.
According to the singer, another term under Tinubu would be disastrous for Nigerians. "Your second term is going to be hell fire," he said in the video.
He pointed to the removal of fuel subsidy as a critical misstep. Darlington noted that petrol prices affect every aspect of life in Nigeria.
"You gave those in the oil sector thousands of reasons to inflate fuel price," he told the president. He argued that Nigerians are naturally greedy, making the situation worse.
Darlington questioned Tinubu's qualifications for another term. "You don't know the job," he stated bluntly.
He also faulted the administration's handling of nationwide insecurity. Rising attacks and kidnappings continue across the country, he noted.
Darlington's criticism reflects growing public frustration with economic hardship. Many Nigerians struggle with inflation and unemployment under the current administration.
