Senator Ned Nwoko has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the development and well-being of the people of Delta North, emphasizing that his leadership is anchored on a people-centered agenda.

The senator, who represents Delta North in the National Assembly, stated that his focus remains on the aspirations of the Anioma people, despite political distractions and unwarranted attacks from certain quarters.

In a press statement signed by his Director of Communications, Hon. Gloria Okolugbo, Senator Nwoko highlighted his determination to deliver on his mandate, prioritizing the needs of his constituents over political conflicts. The statement noted that the internal skirmishes within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are not new, as internal discord has frequently undermined the party’s ability to focus on governance.

As Senator Nwoko takes deliberate steps toward joining the All Progressives Congress (APC), the statement observed that his move has unsettled political rivals, sparking baseless accusations. However, Hon. Okolugbo affirmed that the senator’s decision to leave the PDP is driven solely by his commitment to Anioma’s development and representation, not personal gain.

“Senator Ned Nwoko is a globally recognized leader and accomplished individual. He is not seeking contracts or personal benefits. His strategic move toward the APC is motivated by a genuine desire to better serve the Anioma people and ensure they receive their fair share in national development,” Okolugbo stated.

Senator Nwoko’s leadership, as the highest elected officer in Delta North, is guided by a vision to achieve greater autonomy and independence for Anioma land. This includes advocating for the creation of a new state for the Anioma people—a cause requiring unity, commitment, and focus on long-term goals.

“Senator Nwoko’s actions are for the collective good of Anioma land. His leadership is rooted in the desire to see the region attain greater progress, autonomy, and development,” the statement added.

Hon. Okolugbo urged Delta Northerners to remain united and informed, stressing that the road ahead requires collaboration and dedication. She assured constituents that under Senator Nwoko’s leadership, Anioma stands poised to achieve significant progress.

“As a region, we must stay steadfast in our support for this collective vision. Senator Nwoko’s leadership is a beacon of hope for Anioma, and together, we can achieve greater heights and lasting progress,” she concluded.

With Senator Nwoko at the helm, Delta North’s future appears firmly rooted in a leadership style that prioritizes people, development, and a commitment to equity in national governance.
