Cristiano Ronaldo wasn't pleased with Portugal's opening result at the 2026 World Cup. The 41-year-old captain's team drew 1-1 with DR Congo in Houston on Wednesday.
Ronaldo managed just two poor attempts during the 90 minutes he played. He failed to score as Portugal dropped vital points against the Leopards.
Joao Neves put Portugal ahead early on. But Yohan Wissa headed the equalizer before halftime.
Ronaldo posted on social media afterward. "It's not the start we wanted but this is FAR from being over.
Focus on the next game," he wrote.
Portugal faces Uzbekistan in their next group match next Tuesday. The team will be looking to bounce back with a win.
