Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, a Nigerian rapper and actor known as Reminisce, has opened up about his hiatus from the music industry.
In the latest episode of the Zero Conditions podcast, he said he decided to take a break from music to concentrate on his family.
He said he was so busy with his music that he did not notice what was happening in his home or spend time with his children, even though they lived together.
He said, “I didn’t see my kids for days, even though we live together. They were in school when I got back.
“That was one of the reasons I chose to step back. Let me share this story with you. My wife changed the whole look of our house some years ago. It was around that time that I was releasing albums every year and touring. I didn’t realise that the house painting had changed for almost two years. That was when I knew that I needed to step back and be with my family. Family is everything.
