President Tinubu’s Sons Join State Visit to Qatar Amid Economic Hardship in Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu’s sons, Seyi and Yinka, are set to accompany their father on a state visit to Doha, Qatar, scheduled for March 2 and 3, 2024.

The visit comes amidst a nationwide protest against economic hardship, hunger, and high cost of living in Nigeria.

According to reports, the delegation accompanying President Tinubu will be split into two batches.

The first batch, arriving on February 28, 2024, includes prominent figures such as Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, and Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Wale Edun.

The second batch, arriving on February 29, 2024, includes Seyi and Yinka, along with other notable individuals such as Hakeem Muri-Okunola (PPS), Ambassador Victor Adekunle Adeleke (SCOP), Dr. Ade Tinubu (PP), and Subair Oluwatoyin (SSAP Household).

Naija News reports that Seyi and Yinka have accompanied their father on virtually every foreign trip, highlighting the importance of their presence during this state visit.

The visit to Qatar is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited playing a significant role in the discussions.

As the nation grapples with economic challenges, the state visit to Qatar has garnered attention.

The trip’s objectives and potential outcomes will be closely watched by the Nigerian public, who are currently facing a difficult economic situation.
