Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro has signalled that Paul Pogba could depart the French club this summer following a disappointing campaign. The midfielder's spell at Ligue 1 has failed to deliver since he joined from Manchester United last year, Scuro acknowledged.
When pressed on whether Pogba might leave before the new season starts, Scuro told Get French Football News: "Yes, of course."
"Maybe he will leave, maybe he will stay. It is a very complicated issue," the Monaco chief added.
"We have a lot of respect for him as a person first and foremost."
Scuro noted that Pogba arrived with positive energy and made contributions to developing the club's younger players. However, the executive was frank about the outcome.
"But the truth is also that the project [with him] didn't work well last season," Scuro said in his words.
