Outrage as Muslim Cleric Calls for the Killing of Tinubu’s Wife: Shehu Sani Reacts

A Muslim cleric has called for the killing of the wife of Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, Oluremi Tinubu.

The controversial statement has sparked outrage among the public and political figures, including former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani, who has strongly condemned the cleric’s remarks.

The cleric, whose identity remains unknown, made the statement in a video that has since gone viral on various social media platforms.

In the video, he claims that the Muslim/Muslim ticket that brought President Tinubu to power was a scam and that his wife, being a pastor, should be put to death as provided for in the Quran.

Reacting to the cleric’s statement, Shehu Sani took to his X account to express his strong disapproval of the call for the killing of Senator Remi Tinubu.

He emphasized that criticizing the government and its policies is within the rights of citizens, but calling for the death of a First Lady is “utterly unacceptable.”

The incident has raised concerns about religious tolerance and freedom of expression in Nigeria, as well as the potential for extremist views to influence public discourse.

The public is now looking to the government to take appropriate action to address the situation and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.

The call for the killing of President Tinubu’s wife by a Muslim cleric has caused widespread outrage and condemnation.

As the nation grapples with the implications of this event, it is crucial for the government to take a strong stance against such extremist views and work towards fostering a more inclusive and tolerant society.
