Okowa’s Aide constructs 3 boreholes for Ewu communities

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa Senior Assistant on Women Development, Madam Mercy Ugbobor recently constructed three boreholes in three communities of Ewu in Ughelli South local government area of Delta State.

 

 

The Senior Assistant (SA) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Women Development, Madam Mercy Ugbobor recently constructed three boreholes in three communities of Ewu in Ughelli South local government area of Delta State.

The three boreholes were in Ekrophori /Ekishemor and Koko were recently commissioned by madam Mercy Ugbobor in the company of her followers.

While commissioning the water project, Ugbobor said, Delta State government led by Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa is committed to the welfare of all Deltans and to provide clean and safe drinking water to all Deltans irrespective of political affiliation.

According to her before the general election, she saw that the communities lack good water especially Ekrophori, Ekishemor and Koko and I promised Ewu people if they can return Governor  Okowa second tenure and Hon Izeze  Oghenerume   Yakubu  Reuben for the forthcoming general election I will do something remarkable for the people of unit 10 Ewu Ward 1.

While urged the communities to make good use of the facilities, she said, this water project was completed on a cost and it should be taking good care of for the betterment of all.

She called on all sons and daughters of Ewu to come out with good ideas that will bring development to Ewu as a whole adding that government cannot do it all, the government need the assistant of meaningful Deltans to achieve his mandate of Smart Agenda.

Earlier, she appeals to Governor  Okowa to come to the aid of unit 10 Ewu ward 1 to provide a conducive atmosphere for the PDP faithful to exercise their franchise during and after elections in the state noting that during the last general election a lot of lives endangered as the opposition party, All Progressive lynched terror on them. She alleged.

Speaking on behalf the community, Chief Jude Ale, he thanked Mrs Mercy Ugbobor (Senior Assistant) to Governor Okowa on Women Development for keeping to her promises and named her “ESTER OF OUR TIME saying that the project was timely for us as a community.

Also speaking to our correspondent is the duo of the PDP women leader, Mrs Augusta Onovwede and PDP Youths leader, Sunny white noted that the only source of drinking water in the community before now is either well water or river water.
