Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will on Monday, February 2, 2026, inaugurate the newly completed Omadino Model Technical College in Warri South Local Government Area, marking a major boost for technical and vocational education in the state.
A statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, said the inauguration will be held at the college premises by 10:00am, with guests expected to be seated by 9:30 am.
The Omadino Model Technical College, a legacy project inherited by the Oborevwori administration, has been completed and fully equipped to deliver modern, skills-driven technical education aimed at youth empowerment and workforce development.
Designed to promote self-reliance and employability, the institution boasts purpose-built workshops, modern classrooms, laboratories and training facilities that meet contemporary technical education standards.
According to the statement, Governor Oborevwori considers technical and vocational education a core pillar of his MORE Agenda, as it provides practical pathways for youths to acquire marketable skills, reduce unemployment and drive sustainable socio-economic growth.
The event is expected to attract stakeholders, educationists and community leaders, and will underscore the administration’s resolve to strengthen human capital development and expand access to functional, quality education across Delta State.
