The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Chief Ighoyota Amori, Hon Evance Ivwurie and Barr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe during Amori consultative visit to the Speaker

Oborevwori stated this on Thursday when Chief Ighoyota Amori, a PDP senatorial aspirant for Delta Central senatorial district paid a consultative visit to the Speaker, with elders and chieftains of the party from the senatorial district.

According to the Speaker, “the main opposition party in the state, the APC is neither hot nor cold; whereas the PDP and its leaders are mobilizing the electorates across the three Senatorial districts in preparations for the elections, APC is doing nothing.

“PDP has solid political structures that cannot be matched in terms of mass mobilization of eligible electorates for election victories. The opposition is sleeping, thinking that elections are mainly won through crude propaganda in the mass media.

Oborevwori described Amori as a tested and trusted political leader, adding that the leaders of Delta PDP shall at the appropriate time point the way forward in terms of key party decisions in respect of 2019 elections.

Also speaking, the House representative for Ethiope East Constituency, Hon Evance Ivwurie said Chief Amori has paid his dues in the party, adding that his emergence as Delta Central Senatorial District candidate at a later date will enable the party to recover the 2015 mandate given to Amori and PDP.

Earlier, Chief Amori said the 2015 decision of the Court of Appeal murdered justice and that come 2019, the anticipated landslide victory for him and the party will change the narratives for better representation for the good people of Delta Central.
