Chairman of the Board of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund NSITF, Chief Austin Enajemo Isire, has emphasized the importance of unity of purpose towards building productive institutions for the nation.
Prince Isire made these remarks at the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Abuja, when principal officers, staff and union members of the ministry received the reappointed honourable minister; Dr Chris Ngige alongside the Minister of State; Sen. Omotayo Alashadura.
The Chairman further stated that the NSITF has the vision of bettering the lots of Nigerians workers by leading the social change agenda through economic empowerment and poverty alleviation.
NSITF boss while quoting the renowned American business mogul, Jerk Welch, who posited that “team spirit expands productivity and initiative,” he emphasized that only through joint effort would all benefits accruing to Nigerian, who may have contributed the one percent into the fold, would be realized.
While expressing optimism, Prince Isire that: “Indeed, nations like Singapore through her National Social Security Trust Fund which can be likened to NSITF, was able to address the National Housing Policy and Unemployment situation to its barest minimum.
“The adoption of such policy by one of the country founding father, Lee kua Yew, partly led to the transformation of the country from third world to country first world nation. This, I am confident is attainable through our mandate under the Next Level Agenda of President Muhamadu Buhari.”
Isire who expressed pleasure at the reception which marked his 90th day as NSITF Chairman, lauded Dr Chris Ngige past achievement in the ministry describing him as a stickler to professionalism, humane character and team spirit.
According to him; “there is no doubt that my enthronement into the Labour family was made possible by God through the Honourable Minister who in his belief in professionalism, saw the required knowledge and credentials, and championed the course for greater heights. It is on this basis, that I am particularly delighted to see you re-appointed into ministry in order for you to consolidate on your achievements.”
With the NSITF Chairman to receive the two ministers were Secretary of the NSITF Board; Mrs Ijeoma Okoronkwo, Dr. Mrs Ifeoma Anyanwutaku and a host of other committed officers the Ministry.
