Nigeria's Revenue Service unveiled Rev360 on Wednesday. The digital platform aims to transform how the country collects taxes and manages compliance.
Abuja hosted the launch ceremony. It marks a major step in the NRS's Tax Administration 3.0 reform initiative.
The new system streamlines registration, filing, payments, and compliance tracking. Officials say it represents a structural overhaul of taxpayer-government interaction.
Zacch Adedeji, the NRS Executive Chairman, described Rev360 as central to the agency's transformation. "It supports our transition to Tax Administration 3.0," he told attendees at the event.
According to Adedeji, the platform strengthens compliance management and simplifies taxpayer interactions. He noted it enables data-driven administration while reducing friction in tax processes.
His words: "We're building a modern revenue system that is efficient, transparent and responsive to economic realities." Long-term, the agency aims to serve businesses and individuals more effectively.
Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele called digital transformation essential for fiscal stability. He emphasized that platforms like Rev360 improve the ease of doing business in Nigeria.
"Technology-driven systems are increasingly the backbone of modern economies," Oyedele said at the ceremony. He linked the initiative to broader government economic reforms.
The minister added that improved tax technology helps close revenue collection gaps. It also supports efforts to stabilize public finances and attract investment.
Medium and emerging businesses stand to benefit most from the system. These enterprises comprise a significant portion of Nigeria's productive economy.
Bolaji Akintola, Executive Director of the Medium and Emerging Taxpayers Group at NRS, explained the thinking behind Rev360. She stressed that taxpayers judge revenue agencies by their experience, not just policies.
"How easy is it to register? How quickly can they file returns?" Akintola posed these questions to reporters.
"How efficiently are payments processed? How responsive are support channels?"
She noted that businesses now expect public institutions to match private sector speed and convenience. Rising taxpayer expectations drove the development of Rev360.
Akintola emphasized that the platform consolidates key tax functions into one system. This integration reduces complexity for users.
Visibility across taxpayer obligations improves significantly with the new setup. The platform enhances onboarding and filing processes for all users.
