In Imo State, police operatives stopped a kidnapping in progress, freeing seven victims unharmed and retrieving two of their vehicles. The suspected abductors escaped into nearby bush after trading gunfire with the officers.
A joint security team in Ondo State halted another kidnapping attempt and saved the intended victim. Officers recovered spent AK-47 ammunition left at the scene.
Bayelsa State detectives arrested one suspect linked to the theft of government property worth approximately ₦500 million. Police said they're still working to recover the missing items and arrest other members of the theft ring.
