Nigerian Breweries ‘Proud’ of Super Eagles’ Victory over Elephants

Nigerian Breweries, a leading sponsor of the Super Eagles, has expressed its pride in the team’s recent triumph against the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The match, which took place on January 18, 2024, saw the Super Eagles secure a hard-fought 1-0 win against the tournament hosts.

The game was a nail-biter, with both teams putting up a strong performance. However, it was the Super Eagles who managed to break the deadlock in the 55th minute, when captain William Troost-Ekong converted a penalty to give Nigeria the lead.

The Nigerian side managed to hold on to their advantage until the final whistle, securing a crucial win in their quest for AFCON glory.

Following the match, Nigerian Breweries released a statement, praising the Super Eagles for their determination and resilience. “We are proud of the Super Eagles and their performance against the Elephants,” said a spokesperson for the company. “They showed great spirit and determination, and we are confident that they will continue to make Nigeria proud in the tournament.”

The win against Côte d’Ivoire has put the Super Eagles in a strong position in Group A, with four points from their first two games.

They will now face Guinea-Bissau in their final group match, with a win guaranteeing their progress to the knockout stages of the tournament.

As the Super Eagles continue their AFCON campaign, Nigerian Breweries has urged fans to rally behind the team and show their support. “The Super Eagles need our support now more than ever,” said the spokesperson. “We call on all Nigerians to come together and cheer them on as they strive to bring the trophy home.”

With the backing of their sponsors and fans, the Super Eagles will be hoping to build on their recent success and make a deep run in the tournament.

The next few weeks will be crucial for the team, as they look to prove that they have what it takes to be crowned champions of Africa.
