Nigerian Breweries Announces Price Changes for Stock-Keeping Units

In a recent announcement, the Nigerian Breweries Plc has informed its customers of an upward price change for its Stock-Keeping Units (SKUs). The new prices will take effect from February 19, 2024.

In a letter dated February 12 and titled “Price review notification,” the company explained that the decision was made to mitigate the impact of rising input costs and the depreciation of the naira.

The exact details of the price changes were not provided in the letter.

The Nigerian Breweries is the producer of popular alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including Star Lager, Gulder, Legend Extra Stout, Heineken, Goldberg, Life, and Star Radler, among others.

The company also produces non-alcoholic drinks such as Maltina, Amstel Malta, Fayrouz, Climax Energy drink, and Malta Gold.

This is the second time the company has announced a price review in less than eight months.

The first was in August 2023, and the same reason was given for the price change.

The Nigerian Breweries is not the only company in the country that has been affected by rising input costs and the depreciation of the naira.

Many other companies have also announced price changes in recent months.

As a result of these price changes, consumers may have to pay more for their favorite drinks from the Nigerian Breweries.

However, the company has not provided any information on how much the prices will increase.
