FCT Minister Issues Ultimatum to Illegal Occupants at Abuja Technology Village

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has given an ultimatum to owners of illegal structures at the Abuja Technology Village in Pyakasa, Abuja.

The ultimatum comes after the minister’s inspection of the site alongside the Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji.

The Abuja Technology Village is a crucial site for the Federal Government’s plans to adopt emerging technologies.

However, the presence of illegal structures has hindered the progress of this initiative.

During the inspection, it was observed that despite a settlement made in 2015, the illegal occupants continued to multiply, leading to the need for drastic action.

Minister Nnaji explained that the Abuja Technology Village is essential in housing emerging technologies that the Federal Government is looking to adopt.

By marking the territory, the government hopes to attract investors and further achieve its goals in the field of technology.

The ultimatum issued by Minister Nyesom Wike serves as a warning to illegal occupants to relocate or face the full wrath of the law.

This move is aimed at ensuring the development of the Abuja Technology Village and the realization of the government’s plans for the site.
