Nicki Minaj has opened up about why she stopped attending church services. The rapper made the disclosure during an appearance on The Bryce Crawford podcast.
According to her, success in music forced her to abandon her Sunday worship routine. She worked Friday and Saturday nights, leaving little energy for early morning church visits.
"Once my career started taking off, I stopped going to church," Minaj explained. "I was working on Friday nights and Saturday nights, so the last thing I could do was wake up on Sunday mornings to go to church."
She stressed that her departure wasn't rooted in any loss of faith. Rather, her demanding performance schedule made consistent attendance impossible.
Despite stepping away, Minaj maintains a solid connection with God. She acknowledged struggling with consistency but said she continues working toward spiritual growth.
Her faith has only strengthened over time, she noted. The artist believes her spiritual relationship will continue deepening as she matures.
