N3.5 Billion Scandal: Obi-Datti Campaign to Mandate Support Groups to Account for Donations

The Obi-Datti presidential campaign team has announced that they will be conducting an audit of funds received during the 2023 general election.

The team, led by the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has decided to hold support groups accountable for the donations they received during the campaign.

In a statement released on Friday, Obi explained that the campaign team will start by examining the crowdfunding efforts, which were managed by a team led by Aisha Yesufu.

The goal of this process is to ensure that all resources were utilized effectively and that donors can see the impact their contributions had on the campaign.

Furthermore, the campaign team will also request that various support groups and organizations that worked towards the common goal of a New Nigeria provide a detailed account of the funds they received.

This measure is aimed at promoting transparency and ensuring that all funds were used for their intended purpose.

Despite having less than 20 percent of their budget to work with, the Obi-Datti campaign team managed to achieve visible success through the judicious management of resources.

This success is attributed to the generous support of donors and their unwavering dedication to the democratic process.

In conclusion, the Obi-Datti campaign’s commitment to transparency and accountability is a step forward in ensuring that the political landscape of Nigeria is shaped by honesty and integrity.

This approach will undoubtedly inspire trust in the electoral process and pave the way for a better future for the country.
