Ahmed Musa believes Kano Pillars will avoid the drop this season. The skipper has repeatedly backed his side to survive despite their struggles.
Pillars secured a vital 1-0 win against Plateau United at Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday. Rabiu Ali's penalty just before halftime proved decisive for the hosts.
The victory lifted them to 10th place with 48 points from 36 matches played. One more win could seal their top-flight safety mathematically.
"Kano Pillars won't go down. I've said it since the season started," Musa told reporters after the match.
According to him, the team remains committed to fighting hard. They face one final fixture to secure survival.
Four-time NPFL champions have endured a tough campaign this term. But Musa's confidence hasn't wavered despite the club's predicament.
