Multichoice’s SuperSport TV to Miss Out on Broadcasting AFCON 2023

Multichoice’s popular satellite TV service, SuperSport, has announced that it will not be broadcasting the highly anticipated African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in 2023. The news has left millions of football fans across Africa scrambling for alternative ways to watch the continent’s biggest football event.
According to a statement released by Multichoice, SuperSport TV failed to secure the broadcasting rights for the tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast from January 13th to February 11th, 2024. This means that fans will have to look elsewhere to catch the action-packed football tournament, featuring 24 nations vying for the prestigious title in African football.
The absence of AFCON 2023 on SuperSport TV has created a void for football enthusiasts who were eagerly anticipating the tournament. With SuperSport being one of the most popular satellite TV services in Africa, the news has left many fans disappointed and searching for alternative viewing options.
Despite this setback, Multichoice Africa remains committed to ensuring football fans across the continent continue to enjoy unrivalled entertainment and football games on its DStv and GOtv platforms. This includes access to other prestigious competitions, such as the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and the Zambian Super League.
As the tournament draws closer, fans are encouraged to explore alternative platforms and sources for the AFCON matches and not miss out on the excitement of the continent’s most significant football spectacle.
