Lobi Stars have shaken up their technical setup as they prepare for the 2026-27 Nigeria National League campaign. Last season, the Benue-based club fell short of securing promotion to the NPFL.
Benjamin Kude and Mathias Asongu have been moved from the senior squad to coach the U-19 development team. They'll work alongside Stephen Waghbo, who's been assigned from the Benue State Sports Council.
The club has also brought in Jighjigh Ahungwa as goalkeeper coach. Ahungwa, a former Lobi Stars keeper, joins the technical team to boost their youth development efforts.
Odeh Ogah, who played defense for the club previously, has taken on the role of Assistant Team Manager. He'll be stationed with the U-19 feeder side.
Management believes these changes will create a tougher, more focused squad for next season. The restructuring aims to meet the challenges ahead in the league campaign.
