Labour Party Vows to Fight for a Better Nigeria, Remains Watchful Opposition

In Umuahia, Abia State, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Mr Julius Abure, announced that the party would continue to push for a better Nigeria until it eventually gets the people’s mandate to provide quality leadership for the country.

Abure’s statement came after a critical meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) members of the Labour Party with Governor Alex Otti.

Abure expressed concern about the current state of Nigeria following the removal of fuel subsidy by the All Progressives Congress (APC) government.

He stated that despite the country’s abundance of resources, the people were still living in poverty due to leadership ineptitude.

The Labour Party chairman promised that the party, as a credible opposition, would continue to be a watchdog for the masses until it eventually takes over power in future elections.

He emphasized that Nigeria’s problem was bad leadership and that once it was fixed, other issues would be resolved.

Abure criticized the current economic situation in Nigeria, citing high inflation, unemployment, and the increasing cost of basic commodities like rice and yam.

He vowed that the Labour Party would provide a leadership that would fight poverty, hunger, and unemployment, as well as empathize with the people and liberate them.

Despite facing persecution for leading a party that has changed the political landscape in favor of the masses, Abure remained determined to provide a credible alternative to the people.

He stated that the Labour Party would continue to overcome challenges and remain focused on its goal of creating a New Nigeria that is possible if well managed.
