Kwara State Partners with FG, World Bank, and Others to Train Vulnerable Groups in Digital Skills

In an exciting development for the South West and part of Kwara State, a training and empowerment organization, Gritford Learning Centre, has recently launched a scholarship program in digital skill training for eligible youths, women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and other vulnerable groups.

The program, called Normtak-Haifx Consortium Digital Skill Training Empowerment Project (DSTEP), is being hosted by Gritford with the support of the World Bank/International Development Association (IDA), the Federal Government of Nigeria, and other partners.

The DSTEP program aims to equip participants with essential digital skills to help them thrive in an increasingly digital world.

The training will focus on various aspects of digital literacy, including basic computer skills, internet usage, and digital safety.

The program is designed to be inclusive and accessible to all, with a particular emphasis on reaching vulnerable groups who may not have had the opportunity to develop these skills otherwise.

This collaboration between the Kwara State Government, the Federal Government, the World Bank, and other partners is a significant step towards bridging the digital divide and promoting economic empowerment in the region.

By providing vulnerable groups with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in the digital age, this program is helping to create a more inclusive and prosperous society for all.

As the DSTEP program progresses, participants will have the opportunity to learn from experienced trainers and mentors, as well as network with other like-minded individuals.

The skills and connections they gain through this program will undoubtedly open up new doors and opportunities, helping them to achieve their goals and contribute to the growth and development of their communities.
