Kannywood Mourns the Loss of Saratu Gidado: Beloved Actress Passes Away at 56

The Kannywood film industry is mourning the loss of one of its beloved actresses, Saratu Gidado, popularly known as Daso, who passed away at the age of 56.

The sad news was confirmed by her family members, who revealed that she was found lifeless in her bed after having the pre-dawn meal, Sahur, during Ramadan fasting.

Born on January 17, 1968, Saratu Gidado became a prominent figure in the Hausa-language film industry after starring in the movie “Linzami Da Wuta,” produced by Sarauniya Movies, in the early 2000s.

Her unique ability to play comical and mischievous roles in various films, such as “Nagari,” “Gidauniya,” “Mashi,” and “Sansani,” made her a favorite among fans and followers.

Her sudden death has left a void in the Kannywood community, with many expressing shock and sadness at the loss of such a talented and warm-hearted individual.

Close associate Habiba Umar described Daso as irreplaceable and said, “Daso’s departure leaves a void in the industry that will be difficult to fill.

She was not only a talented actress but also a warm-hearted individual who touched the lives of many with her performances.”

As tributes continue to pour in from fans, colleagues, and the entertainment industry at large, the Kannywood community mourns the loss of one of its brightest stars.
