Governor Uba Sani has praised Kaduna pilgrims for their outstanding behavior during the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. His Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, disclosed this in a statement released from Makkah on Thursday.
The governor spoke after receiving a comprehensive briefing from a delegation that updated him on Hajj operations. He noted that officials managing Kaduna's pilgrims have set new standards for excellent service delivery.
Uba Sani reminded the pilgrims that Hajj represents one of Islam's five pillars. It demands patience, unwavering commitment, and complete devotion to Allah, he stressed.
According to him, the pilgrimage is a spiritual experience that takes a physical toll on participants. He added that reports from the delegation matched information he'd been receiving before arriving in the kingdom.
Leading the delegation was Malam Salihu S Abubakar, Executive Chairman of Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency. He walked the governor through every stage of the Hajj operation.
Abubakar detailed the agency's work from the initial orientation sessions for intending pilgrims during "Bita." He also highlighted the comprehensive medical checks conducted at the Hajj camp and the subsequent flights to Saudi Arabia.
He outlined achievements recorded in Madina and the ongoing activities in Makkah. His account covered the rituals at Arafat, Muzdalifa, and the symbolic stoning of the devil at Jamrat before returning to the Muna tent settlement.
Professor Bello Ayuba, the governor's Principal Private Secretary and committee member, accompanied Abubakar in the delegation. Hon Nazir Abubakar, who chairs the Interfaith and Hajj Committee at the Kaduna State House of Assembly, was also present.
Malam AbdulRaham Abuhunain served as Senior Special Assistant on Interfaith matters. Abubakar Usman Yusuf, Director of Operations at the pilgrims agency, completed the delegation team.
