The immediate past governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan will today, Monday formally defect from the  All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with his teaming supporter.
According to NIGER DELTA TODAY (NDT) Online report, the former governor will be rejoining PDP at his Unit 1, Ward 6, Abigborodo in Warri North local government area of the state.
Uduaghan was governor of Delta on the PDP platform for eight years (2007-2015).
He was also a commissioner for health and later Secretary to the State Government under the administration of former Governor James Ibori.
The former governor left the PDP in 2018 for APC where he contested the Delta South Senatorial election but lost to incumbent Senator James Manager.
He was said to have had a cold-war with his successor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, also a medical doctor like him.
Uduaghan was recently sighted at a function with Governor Okowa and Ibori during the Annual General meeting of Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) held at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara.
It was the first time Uduaghan would be seen with his successor (Okowa) in a public function since the 2019 general elections.
NDT reports that the issues that forced the former governor to dump PDP where he was a founding member had been resolved.
Though, Uduaghan had neither confirmed nor denied his return to PDP, some of his loyalists including Hon. Godwin Abigor, a former Delta Assembly lawmaker, last week defected to PDP.
Multiple sources within the PDP and APC have confirmed the development.
Thousands of his supporters were alleged to have already stormed Abigborodo ahead of the defection today (Monday).
Credible sources informed this reporter that the former governor will rejoin his former party at about 11am on Monday.
