Jubilation greets the installation of Biukeme as the new Amananawei of Aghoro 11 community

 

Aghoro 11 Community in Idiwuni Kingdom, Ekeremor Local Government of Bayelsa State was thrown jubilation following the nomination and installation of His Royal Highness, HRH Afro Biukeme as the Amananawei (Owner Of The Town) Aghoro 11 Community.

The ceremony was performed by the 111 Years old Amakosiwei (Oldest Man) of the community, Chief Pidiki Osuwa in attendance of the entire Elders and Chiefs of the Community; including Chief Okoko Obodetu, Amakosiwei 11, and Chief Pinwei Goude, Amakosiwei 111, amongst the other leaders.

The Amakosiwei blessed and prayed for HRH Biukeme, asked their ancestors to protect and guide him so that his tenure can attract peace, progress and development to the community, he also described the emerges of HRH as a new dawn in the community.

Chief Okoko Obodetu, Amakosiwei 11, expressed gratitude to God for a dream comes true. According to him, the choice of HRH Biukeme was divine from God.

He described him as a true and illustrious son of the community who has been assisting his people in terms of human capital development.

Speaking also, Chief Pinwei Goude, Amakosiwei 111, in his remark said, HRH Biukeme name is synonymous with the development of the community; adding that they have made the right choice by nominating and installing HRH Biukeme as the Amananawei of Aghoro 11 community.

In an interview with HRH Afro Biukeme, said he has been doing a lot for his people and with his current position he is going to do more for them. According to him, he constructed guest house, teacher quarters, and school buildings in his community.

“I will attract portable water and quality education for my people. I have to build a guest house, teacher quarters, school buildings that is why I’m calling for a higher Institution possibly a university in Aghoro to serve its environs as well.”

On the jubilations by his people that greeted his installation as the Amananawei of Aghoro, he says     “light has come and darkness has gone. My people have been in bondage before now and they have been liberated from darkness.”

As at the time of writing this report the people of the community are still celebrating their new Amananawei.
