Jnr Pope: Tragic End for Makeup Artist Abigail, Buried at River Bank Due to Financial Constraints

The body of makeup artist Abigail Fredrick, who tragically lost her life in an accident, was laid to rest at a riverbank due to financial constraints.

The news was brought to light by movie producer Stanley Ontop, who reported that the small ceremony was held because the family could not afford to take her body back to her home state of Akwa Ibom for traditional rites.

The accident, which occurred during a movie production, led to the loss of several lives, including Abigail’s.

The bodies of the makeup artist and a camera assistant were found by divers after an extensive search.

However, the funeral arrangements for the rest of the victims are still pending.

Movie director Moses Eskor expressed his sorrow over the situation, stating that Abigail’s father was unable to provide the funds necessary for the traditional rites required to transport her body to Akwa Ibom.

Despite efforts to raise money, the amount collected was not sufficient to cover the expenses.

Stanley Ontop has called for the arrest of the producer and the boat driver involved in the accident, citing negligence as the cause of the tragedy.

The loss of Abigail and the others is considered a great one, casting a shadow over the Nigerian film industry.

The incident has sparked discussions about the importance of safety measures and support for cast and crew members during film productions.

It serves as a reminder of the risks faced by those working in the entertainment industry and the need for better protections.

As the Nigerian film community mourns the loss of Abigail and the other victims, it is hoped that their tragic deaths will not be in vain and will lead to improvements in safety and support for all those involved in the creative process.
