Irish chef, Alan Fisher, receives praise from Hilda Baci for breaking world record

An Irish chef living in Japan, Alan Fisher, has set two new Guinness World Records for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Alan Fisher, who owns and runs a restaurant in Japan, cooked non-stop for 119 hours and 57 minutes, breaking the previous record of 93 hours and 11 minutes held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci earlier this year.

He also smashed the record for the longest baking marathon, baking for 47 hours and 21 minutes, surpassing the old record of 31 hours and 16 minutes.

Hilda Baci, a Nigerian celebrity chef, congratulated him on her X page.

She wrote, “A big congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119 hours and 57 minutes is a huge feat, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder.
