An Abuja based financial expert, Mr Diamond Tietie has said his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) because of the pains Deltans were going through as a result of infrastructural decay the state has suffered in the 20years of PDP rule.

He explained that his decision to join the APC was not driven by monitory gain, but he wants to join progressive minded Urhobos and Deltans to free the state from the hands of the cabal that have held it to ransom since 1999 till date.

Mr Tietie who hails from the Ugwezi Ouarter of Urhuoka,  Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, stated during his declaration for the party in his Abraka Ward 1, which is also the electoral ward of Chief Great Ovadje Ogboru, governorship candidate of the party in 2019 election.

While commending Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo Agege for giving Urhobo voice at the national level and for making history as the first Urhobo man to attain such enviable position, he urged him not to relent in his quest to reposition the Urhobo nation politically.

He also showered praises on Chief Great Ogboru for his doggedness and tenacity of purpose and promised to work with both leaders to take the party to greater heights.

Addressing the party faithful, the Deputy State Chairman of the party, Mr Elvis Ayomanor thanked Mr Tietie for his courage and determination to join the party at a time when elections are over.

According to Prof. Ogbebor; “It is very unfortunate that Deltans are sitting docile to swallow the nonsense coming from one man who sat down in his house and said I’m the one going for governor now, you are the next man then next person will follow ” That is how it has been, should will continue? No!
