Hon. Orishedere applauds Okowa for linking riverine communities, calls for his reelection in 2019

Hon. Sunny Orishedere, Director General of Team SMART for Okowa has applauded the vision and developmental stride of the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa over his commitment in linking riverine communities in the state with other parts for easy accessibility and in making life comfortable for those living in such areas.

The Team SMART boss gave the commendation on Monday, April 16, 2018 during a sensitization visit of Team SMART for Okowa to Aboh in Ndokwa East Local Government Area to meet with newly elected and appointed officers of the Team in the local government.
Addressing the people, Hon. Orishedere noted that the consideration of roads in Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Oko in Oshimili South Local Government Area as well as the completion of Trans-Ode Itsekiri road and the construction of the Onyakromo bridge, is an indication of Governor Okowa’s commitment towards the betterment of the people and the development of the entire tate.
He reiterated the need for all elected and appointed officers in the council areas in keying into the SMART AGENDA of the Governor for effective collaboration and development.
Adding that the swearing in of Local Government officers marks the beginning of campaign for the 2019 governorship elections. In his words; “we have commence an issue base campaign on the success and achievements of this administration, and as a strategy, we shall emphasised on what we have achieved over the years and our next line of action.”

Hon. Orishedere noted that with the  Okowa massive infrastrucral developmental projects and the impressive performance of the governor across the state, the task for the electioneering campaign  of Dr. Okowa has been made easy. Stating that as the mount piece of the people, they as well doubled as the mount piece of the governor in ensuring the grassroot people are aware of the governors achievements.
Hon. Orishedere further stressed the need for those elected and appointed to acquaint themelves with the policies and program of the Governor that necessitated the program so that they can confidently speak about it.
Speaking further, the DG disclosed to the people that the task re-electing Governor Okowa in 2019 is ahead for all of them, this he said is to enabled the governor actualise and consolidate on the prosperity programme for all Deltans.
He appealed to them to use their offices to reach out to their various wards and communities and to as well reach out to those who are yet to register or collects their permanent voter card, PVC.
In his welcome remarks, the Chairman of Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Hon. Governor appreciated the initiative of the Team SMART which he said has brooden the horizon of all elected and appointed officers to understand the policies and program of the government and the SMART AGENDA. He said the only business they have presently is to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people and also to ensure that come 2019, Governor Okowa is re-elected.
The council boss commended the performances of the Governor Okowa’s administration so far and assured that come 2019, Ndokwa East will give a hundred percent vote to Governor Okowa.
Presenting copies of the SMART DIGEST  which is a compendium of the state government SMART achievements to the people, Hon. Orishedere assured them that update of the SMART DIGEST shall be distributed to the council quarterly. He urged both arms of government to unite and ensure peace in the area and also call for peace between companies and host communities in the area in order to achieve a better and greater development.

Local Government Employee (NULGE), Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Heads of various deartments in the council, the Secretary General of Team SMART, Osafile Frank, Patrick Nwaoba, protocol officer, Frank Anukwu, contact officer and Mr Tony as well members of the Team.
