Hundreds of Ughelli South indigenes under the aegis of ”Project 2019, Tebite for House of Assembly” has endorsed the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for a second term and appealed to Hon. Taleb Tebite to run for the House Assembly position in Ughelli South Constituency.

Speaking to hundreds of supporters at Okpare-Olomu, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Saturday, March 31, Chief Samuel Obamohwoyere, one of the conveners of the gathering, disclosed that the group having examined the infrastructural and human capital developmental stride of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa across the state, they have resolved unanimously to support the governor in 2019.

He said Dr. Okowa has performed excellently well with his articulated SMART AGENDA programme for Deltans.
Chief Samuel further noted that Project 2019, Taleb Tebite for House of Assembly is borne out of the quest of the people to have a leader and representative like Hon. Taleb Tebite who knows and care for the people he represented.
He added that the two tenure of Hon. Tebite was purposeful, excellent and was characterized with grassroot empowerment and development, adding that sadly enough, it is assumed Ughelli Sout does not have a representative because the impact of the present representative, Hon. Barr. Reuben Izeze is not felt.
“It is the people of Ughelli South that is clamouring and calling on Hon. Taleb Tebite to come back because he has represented them well,” he said.

Affirming the first speaker’s claims, Dr. Matthew Kuode also a leader in the group stated, that the essence of the gathering was to affirm their unalloyed support to Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa come 2019 and to brief followers of Hon. Taleb Tebite on his response to the clarion call for him to re-con test election for the Ughelli South Constituency.
Dr. Kuode who said Hon. Taleb Tebite have accepted their offer, also said he gave a condition that as long his people are the one calling on him, he will make himself available but that they must sincerely stand behind him.
Dr. Kuode also maintained that since Hon. Taleb Tebite completed his tenure last three years ago, nothing meaningful has ever come to the constituency which he said was booming during his days in office.
He called on all to support Tebite as he is the right man for the job, as he has been tested and trusted and he delivered.
