Funke Akindele Opens Up on Her Two Failed Marriages: “I Don’t See It as Failure, I See It as Life”

In a candid interview with Wazobia FM in Lagos, renowned Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele recently shared her thoughts on her two failed marriages and how she doesn’t see them as failures.

Drawing from her mother’s teachings that without failure, there can be no success, Akindele has adopted a pragmatic approach to marriage, taking it “as it comes.”

During the interview, Akindele emphasized the importance of her mental health and career, stating that these aspects of her life take precedence over societal expectations surrounding marital success.

She also mentioned that her priority is to live an impactful life and provide for her children and siblings.

When asked about her personal life and marriage, Akindele said, “My personal life – marriage, I just take it as it comes. My mental health is very important.

My career is very important, darling. I have to make an impact. I have to empower a lot of people. I have to inspire young people out there. I have to stay strong for my children and my siblings.”

Despite the difficulties she has faced in her personal life, Akindele remains optimistic and focused on her goals.

She continues to be an inspiration to many, showing that it is possible to overcome adversity and continue to pursue one’s dreams.
