Falz, the Nigerian rapper known for his critical songs addressing societal issues, has released a new EP titled "Before the Feast," which marks a significant departure from his usual style.
In an interview with Saturday Vanguard, Falz explained that he wanted to provide his fans with a "palate cleanser" before his upcoming album, "The Feast."
"Before the Feast" is a blend of energetic and reflective music, showcasing Falz's growth as an artist and his commitment to delivering impactful songs.

The EP features collaborations with big names in the industry, including Crayon, Shaybo, Phyno, Adekunle Gold, Flavour, and Odumodublvck.
Unlike his previous works, "Before the Feast" contains no commentary on the country's current affairs. Falz deliberately chose this approach to set the stage for his musical journey and to provide a fresh perspective for his fans.
Despite his success in music, Falz remains a trained lawyer and was called to the bar in 2012. Although he initially practiced law, music became his passion and calling.
While he doesn't rule out returning to the courtroom, Falz is currently focused on his music career and his commitment to activism.

Falz's activism is a part of his identity, and he continues to defend the rights of the common man through his music and other platforms. However, with "Before the Feast," he wanted to focus on providing a different kind of experience for his fans.
The Nigerian rapper believes that the current economic situation in the country is tough, but he remains hopeful that things will improve.
Despite the challenges, Falz remains committed to his music and his activism, using his platform to effect change and inspire others.
