Delta Central Senator, Ede Dafinone, has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the death of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta Central Youth Leader, Hon. Famous Oyibo, describing the loss as “painful, untimely, and devastating” to the party and the district.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Senator Dafinone said he received the news of Oyibo’s passing with “profound sadness and shock,” noting that the late youth leader was a committed and energetic figure whose loyalty and passion for the APC were unquestionable.
“Hon. Famous Oyibo was a devoted, loyal, and energetic party leader whose passion for service and unwavering commitment to the growth of our party were evident in both his conduct and contributions,” Dafinone said. He added that Oyibo’s leadership and enthusiasm made him a central pillar in youth mobilisation across Okpe LGA and the wider Delta Central Senatorial District.
The Senator extended condolences to Oyibo’s immediate family, the APC in Okpe Local Government Area, youths across Delta Central, and the entire APC community mourning the loss. He prayed for God’s comfort and strength for all affected.
“May his soul rest in peace, and may God grant his family and all of us the strength and comfort to bear this great loss,” the statement concluded.
