Cristiano Ronaldo clinched his first Saudi Arabia league title on Thursday. Al Nassr defeated Damac 4-1 in Riyadh on the final day of the season.
Ronaldo scored twice in the dominant performance. His brace secured the championship and sparked wild celebrations among supporters.
The Portuguese striker netted a free kick and a close-range finish from four yards. Both goals came after Damac had pulled one back from the penalty spot.
Sadio Mane opened the scoring with a 35th-minute header off Joao Felix's corner. Kingsley Coman added the second early in the second half with a low drive.
Al Nassr's victory marks their 10th league title in club history. It's their first championship in seven years, with the previous triumph coming in 2019.
Ronaldo joined the Saudi club in January 2023. He's now won league titles in four different countries' top divisions.
Previously, he claimed titles in Italy with Juventus, Spain with Real Madrid, and England with Manchester United. This Saudi crown adds to that impressive collection.
Thursday's triumph is Ronaldo's eighth domestic league trophy overall. The 41-year-old hadn't won a league title since 2020, ending a six-year drought.
Since moving to Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo has won two trophies with Al Nassr. He's cemented his status as one of football's greatest achievers.
