Calvin Bassey believes Nigeria had Poland beaten. The Super Eagles defender says two late concessions cost his team victory in Wednesday's 2-2 draw.

Terem Moffi's opening goal gave Eric Chelle's squad control in Warsaw. Kacper Potulski leveled before halftime for the hosts.

Paul Onuachu restored Nigeria's advantage after the break. But Przemysław Wiśniewski's stoppage-time strike denied the Eagles what should've been a win.

"We should have got the win," Bassey told reporters afterward. "Two late goals in both halves.

It shows there was something we could adjust."

The defender acknowledged squad rotation challenges heading into the match. "A lot of us had different arrival times," he noted.

"A few of us joined camp yesterday, so it is good to get some minutes in the legs."
