BOOKS, THEN MUSIC AND FAMILY

Books – according to Charles W. Elliot, are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers. 

 

According to Billy Joel, music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music…! And according to Aldous Huxley, after a silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music…

 

In the line of my work, we seat in the car or Mini-Bus moving around; I cannot possibly, remember how many times I have dreamed while stark-awake – with the music on the radio ministering… My spirit had been undulating between down and up these past periods. I have been up and even sustained a near eclipse of my thoughts with a pleasant feeling of a total departure or thought-block from my emotions… All because and thanks to music and musicians who play them…

 

Artists and Bands like: Clean Bandits, Dua Lipa, Liam Payne, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Ellie Goulding, All Saints, Whitesnake, Corrine Bailey Rae, Mr Mister, Kajagoogoo, Starship, The Farm, Billy Joel, Mike & The Mechanics, Simply Red, Foreigner, Of Monsters & Men, etc, are just some of the crop that makes my life a lot more liveable.

 

Above all else and at the top of the league, is my family. Knowing that they are there, are praying for you, are defending you with their love, are living with you, are hoping that you live, are holding the mirror to you, are giving you the reason to strive hard the more and succeed… And when you ask, “why am I living and working so hard when at last I am going to the Lord with nothing?” you remember: MY FAMILY.
