ASABA- Mrs. Tessy Toru, South-South PDP women leader and Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Education Monitoring, has congratulated His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State as clocks 59 years on earth.

Mrs. Torru who onbehalf of Peoples Democratic Party women in Delta State appreciated the governor, also thanked him for the enormous privilege and opportunity giving to the women to showcase their potentials and political prowess.
Mrs. Tessy Toru while extolling the sterling qualities of the governor, described him as a peace loving, and gender friendly Governor whose commitment to the development of the state and the nation in general is worthy of emulation.
In her words, ” Govenor Ifeanyi Okowa is a true democrat and a leader”. As he clocked 59, we are celebrating him as a true leader and a workaholic Governor who have to have affected every Deltan positively.
She added that both men, women, youths, widows and even the orphans have felt his impacts through the different Empowerment Programmes/Initiative. She noted that with the level of infrastructural developmental projects initiated by the governor, all deltans are happy with the people’s governor.
“We are proud of his success stories and we will continue to value his courage in ongoing efforts in ensuring that Delta State becomes one of the most developed states in Nigeria”.
Mrs. Tessy Torru however prayed God to continue to empower the governor with wisdom and strenght as well as long life and good health so that he can pilot the affairs of Delta State excellently.
She further commended all the women in the state for immensely supporting the programmes of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and urged them to continue to support the second term bid of the governor
